Your dog, cat, bird or any other pet can be cremated, and their remains stored for you to remember them by. There's an enormous range of pet urns to choose from, with various sizes, shapes and colors. You need to start by working out a budget. Make sure you know what you can afford before you look at pet urns, otherwise you might get carried away and spend too much. Generally, basic urns are the cheapest, and the more personalized and ornate the urn, the higher the price. You can also choose the level of personalization you want for your pet urn. It's fairly easy to buy an urn that has a brass plate attached. You can then have your pet's details engraved on the plate, and perhaps add a few personal words. Depending on the material the urn is made from, you may be able to have the urn laser engraved. Others have slots for photos. Many veterinary clinics sell pet urns, but you may find it simpler to purchase one from the pet crematorium to avoid any extra fees for transportation. Choosing the right pet urn is never an easy experience, but it's a great way to have a lasting memory of your much-loved pet, so that they are never forgotten. |
